Coaching and Technical-Assistance
Interest: In-depth coaching and technical assistance consulting, an integral part of the Forum’s Illinois Latino Nonprofit Leadership Academy, now in its fifth year of workshops, on-site consulting, coaching and mentoring for individuals who work for Latino nonprofit organizations throughout Illinois.
ESC Advantage: ESC provided two consultants who not only had expertise in nonprofit governance, but were also highly experienced coaches, allowing them to conduct assessments of different organizational and leadership needs and provide a course of action.
- Technical assistance in board development, strategic planning, communications, program development, staff development and morale, organizational visioning and stabilization, and fundraising to leaders of five Academy participant organizations
- Detailed reports for each participant organization shared with the Forum that highlight diagnostic assessment findings, onsite consulting focus areas, anticipated outcomes, and opportunities for future development
Transformative Benefits: A guide for the Forum to use in developing the Illinois Latino Nonprofit Leadership Academy to address knowledge gaps and an action plan for each participant organization to work with the Forum on pressing issues.
“Even as the Latino community continues to grow, the resources available to the nonprofit organizations that serve Latinos continue to dwindle. ESC’s expert consultants were invaluable in equipping our Academy participants with the leadership skills they’ll need to tackle these challenging disparate trends, strengthening not only their organizations but also the entire community.”
